Bug Fixes and Improvements since Release Candidate 1 (6.0.1296.0)
- Licensing subsystem is fully rewritten; it is now based on license keys generated while downloading trial or purchasing commercial versions.
- The amount of information displayed on the "Blocked" HTML page is extended; it now includes the reason for blocking.
- Fixed possible leak of GDI handles in the Management Console.
- Various improvements in Management Console related to usability and performance issues.
- Performance of File Type content filter is greatly improved, fixed the possible false alarms for textual files.
Bug Fixes and Improvements since Beta 2 (6.0.1014.0)
- Fixed incorrectly working maximum retention size settings.
- Added required licensing information for Google ctemplate library in Management Console and PDF.
- User Interface of Management Console is completely redesigned.
- Fixed rare possibility for incorrect uninstall in case of previous manual termination of antimalware scanner qlscand.exe.
- Fixed incorrect serialization of configuration settings for languages other than English.
- New or updated UI icons.
- Greatly improved performance of content filtering scanning.
- File Type Filter now has the lowest possible level of confidence for the determined file type.
- The antimalware engine is now better protected from viruses specifically targeted to kill the antimalware engine (archive unpacking bombs, artificial looping in archives and so on).
- Decreased the possibility of errors because of antimalware engine timeouts in traffic interceptor.
- Extended patterns for File Type Filter.
Known issues and problems
- Due to the way Mozilla Firefox downloads online PDFs, it may not be possible to download PDFs
if partial download is prohibited.
- Traffic interceptor is not always able to get the filename of downloaded object out of HTTP response,
thus some filename patterns may not always work in File Name filter.
- Continuous start/stop of Content Security 6.0 service may sometimes result in access violation
in antimalware server qlscand.exe. This does not leave your proxy unprotected as without running service
the protection is not able to run anyway.
- Check mark indicating currently selected content filtering module view may be set incorrectly
when Back/Forward toolbar buttons are used.
